About Me…
I believe that no two students are the same, so why should their lessons be?
Each lesson is tailored to the individual and whatever their goals may be. Whether that’s playing for fun, working through graded exams or improving on experience they already have and taking their playing to the next level!
Scott first started teaching while he was still at school. He spent his free periods in S6 volunteering to help teach guitar to the S1 students during practical lessons. His first official teaching position came while he was studying at University. In 2016 he started working as a guitar tutor/band leader with the community project Dad’s Rock Academy at Edinburgh College’s Sighthill campus.
He graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2018 with his BA(Hons) in Popular Music. He then returned to Glasgow and began working as a guitar tutor both at Vivace Theatre School and Casting Agency and Melrose Music School in many of their locations across the city.
At this time he also picking up work as a gigging musician. He regularly plays in the band for multiple theatre companies productions; including The Tron Theatre and Glasgow Kelvin College’s Musical Theatre department.
He also joined the established wedding/function band The Foxes who he still plays with, as their lead guitarist. The Foxes (signed with Elite
Bands) currently perform at 60-70 weddings across the UK every year and work with companies such as Hilton Hotels and The Scottish Rugby Union to provide entertainment at many high profile corporate events.
